Barrydale Hand Weavers has emerged from a proud, small-town venture to become a modern producer of exceptionally crafted hand woven products. As our name suggest the craftspeople behind the products are at our core. Our retail shop is open 7-days a week and you are welcome to enjoy a free tour of the weavery, you can even try your own hand at weaving!

We are a people powered business and we do as much as we possibly can by hand, enabling us to create the greatest number of job opportunities in our community.

We actively minimise outsourcing and try to train and develop individual talents from within our business. Our products celebrate the ancient craft of hand weaving and the beauty of the natural materials that we use. Our supply chain is committed to sourcing all the raw materials and consumables we need from South Africa.

The cotton we use for our products has been bought from South African textile mills and they use a high percentage of South Africa grown cotton in their blends, with the other cotton sourced from neighbouring countries such as Zambia and Zimbabwe. We sell our products to wholesale and retail customers in South Africa and internationally. Please get in touch to find out more.
