Bertus Cooke Hiking Trail

Staying in Barrydale for a few days?
The Bertus Cooke hiking trail is only about 4km from start to finish and provides beautiful views of the village.
Start at MUD on the NE side of town.
The trail has a fairly steep ascent and descent with no actual climbing, but is fairly flat on top.
Start early in summer as it gets quite warm from about 11am.
The hike should take between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on how many times you stop to take pictures.
Caution: there are some areas with fairly sharp rocks and stones, so if you are taking dogs with, make sure you can carry them as their paw pads might get injured.
