Karoo Art Hotel

The hotel is now open after a major renovation and redecoration. In the words of owners Rick & Sue Melvill "one never really owns places like these, you're really just the custodians for another generation". Here's to a wonderful new chapter for the Karoo Art in the post Covid era . The Country Hotel is the Heart of every little town and with our Art Hotels Map Room has become the official tourist information stop for tourist traveling the R62.

We celebrate the tradition of a Country Hotel with our Veranda which is a very social meeting place and our Bar where you will meet and get to know the friendly locals.

We have a lovely Dining room and patio where our chef Derek will serve traditional Karoo Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.The Hotel has 16 creatively decorated en-suite rooms some with balconies and splendid views over the valley.
